The Best Student Discounts In London & Online

Did you know: that little plastic card with your face on it can save you £££ around London?

While living as a student has plenty of downsides (hello budgeting, deadlines and infinite stress!), there are some upsides too. And one of our favourites is student discounts! Whether you’re shopping online or heading out exploring in London, keep your student ID handy so you can nab the best discounts around!

We’re here with a round-up of our favourite places to save money - you’re welcome!

MUST-HAVE student discount APPS

To make your student life even easier, there are a few apps and subscriptions around that give you access to hundreds of student discounts online and in-person.

Unidays

Available in 114 countries and exclusive to students, UNiDAYs is used by 13 million students and gives you access to discounts with over 800 brands! It’s entirely free to download the app (on Apple or Android) and use the hundreds of discount codes; all you have to do is verify your status as a student through their website (usually by using your university email address) and then you’re all set! Check the app regularly for the newest offers.

TOTUM

You might’ve heard of Totum in its previous guise as the NUS Extra Card, but if you haven’t you’re definitely missing out! Totum has partnered with over 250 online and high street brands to offer student discounts on millions of essentials - and luxuries! Totum has a free service, Totum Digital, giving you access to hundreds of online discounts via the website or mobile app (on Apple or Android), or a paid service (£14.99/year) allowing you to access high street discounts using your Totum ID card. At £14.99 a year, you’re likely to make your money back pretty pronto!

ISIC (international student identity card)

The ISIC is the only student ID card accepted worldwide - which is super handy if you’re heading back and forth between London and your home country during your studies! Giving you access to discounts on travel, flights, hotels, restaurants and shopping, it’s well worth the one-off £12 cost to get your card. Plus, ISIC is a non-profit organisation - so you can feel good while you’re saving money!

student beans

Last but not least, Student Beans partners with 650 global brands, covering fashion, beauty, entertainment, technology, food, travel - pretty much anything you can think of! It’s 100% free to register and use the website or mobile apps (on Apple and Android) and has a super quick verification process to confirm your student status - then you’re good to go!
