Moving to the UK to study at London University is a fresh and exciting experience, an opportunity to immerse yourself in the city’s creative and diverse culture. But we also understand that for many international students, it can feel daunting too. It’s a big change, but don’t worry, you are not alone and it’s normal to feel a little nervous. This article will help you prepare for your first year studying abroad in London, making new friends and getting used to your new and exciting life.
Is it hard to make friends at Uni?
Firstly, it’s important to recognise that you’re not the only person asking this question, thousands of students like yourself will be wondering exactly the same thing. London brims with personalities of all shapes and sizes however niche your interests might be, so it will probably be a lot easier than you think to make friends once you get here.
How to make friends while studying in London
Most graduates will tell you making friends during ‘freshers’ is easy, and they’re not wrong. Everyone’s eager to meet new people and you’ll quickly realise how easy it is to make friends. Studying here, you will quickly come to terms with the fact that London and Expensive are synonymous.
